Summary: : The Epson Perfection 4490 PHOTO scanner is the replacement of the Epson Perfection 4180 PHOTO and is an excellent scanner, which cost less than 250 dollars. This scanner will work with the Kurzweil 1000 and Kurzweil 3000. This scanner will have a scan time of about 25 seconds per page (Black/White) and about 45 seconds per page (Color) using the flatbed for scanning.

Caution/Warnings:

• There are two scanner locks, one is where you plug-in the USB cable to the scan and the other one is on the back of the scanner cover, make sure these scan locks are unlocked before using the scanner.

Comments/Notes:

• USB 2.0 has no effect on scanning time.
• Scanner warm-up time on first initial scan 20 seconds
• Only needs to install the Minimum Software Requirements for the scanner:
