Kurzweil 3000 for Macintosh Version 2.5

A new patch release for Kurzweil 3000 for Macintosh Version 2.5 is now available - Version 2.5.1. This is a free update for registered Kurzweil 3000 for Macintosh Version 2.5 customers. This patch release can be downloaded directly (see below). We strongly recommend that all customers upgrade to Version 2.5.1 in order to have access to the latest features and fixes in Kurzweil 3000 for Macintosh Version 2.5.

Significant changes in Version 2.5.1:

• Program no longer runs from CD, instead it displays a dialog that tells the user to drag to install the program.
• Program can now run as Limited User (Recommended procedure: register as admin user first so that user will never have to register as a limited user).
• Upon placing the CD into the drive, the disk's background image appears and contains instructions on how to drag install.
• Added a dialog that says "Your microphone is already in use", when the user creates two new recordings, starts one, and then clicks into the other one's window and starts recording there. Previously, the user would get a “-227 (device busy) error.”
• Fixed text display problems when using the Word Spacing feature.
• Fixed periodic problem with flashing gray "record" button in Mac OS 9 and disabled "record" button in Mac OS X.
• Fixed the problem that occurred when the Spelling feature discarded the most likely correction (Mac OS X).
• Fixed Spelling window's list view that formerly did not expand when the window expanded (Mac OS X).
• Fixed the Window menu when in multi-user mode. Formerly, the Window menu would only display the "Show/Hide Reader" item instead of all menu items.
• Fixed the “stitching error” or program termination error that occurred when deleting a text note.
