Kurzweil 3000 Network Server Version 9.1
There are two new patches available for Kurzweil 3000 Server Version 9. One is for the Network Server and one is for the Server Administrator It is recommended to download and install these patches. In addition, it is important that the server machine be rebooted after the Network Server is installed.
PLEASE NOTE: These patches are only for the Network Server and Server Administrator. To download the latest patch for the client software, please go to the Kurzweil 3000 Version 9 Patches and Update page.

The Network Server Patch addresses an issue with memory usage by the Kurzweil 3000 Server that could cause your Server to become unresponsive if it is left running for very long periods of time (months). It is strongly recommended that you install this patch if you are currently running Kurzweil Server Version 9.
Do not uninstall the existing Version 9 Server before applying this patch. No user accounts, preferences, or any other data will be affected by this patch. Be sure to install this patch at a time when no users need access to Kurzweil 3000, as this install will temporarily shut down the Kurzweil 3000 Server. After installing this patch, you will need to reboot the system hosting Kurzweil 3000 Server. There will be no visible changes made by this patch, other than the version number of the KServerService.exe file, which will be updated to “9.1” in the File Properties dialog in Windows Explorer.
Kurzweil 3000 Server Administrator Version 9.1
There is a new patch available for Kurzweil 3000 Server Administrator Version 9. If you have no Professional Black-and-White licenses and you do not use the reporting features, you do not need to install this patch.
The Server Administrator patch addresses two issues with Kurzweil 3000 Server Administrator Version 9:
- If you have any Version 9 Professional Black-and-White licenses installed on your Server, you may not be able to uninstall them using the Server Administrator.
- You may be unable to run reports or generate letters for specific date ranges. This problem will manifest itself as an erroneous “The ending date cannot come before the starting date” message for certain date ranges.
Once you install this patch, the version number in the About Box in the Server Administrator will be updated to 9.1. This patch can be applied to the Server Administrator running on the Server machine, as well as any machines which may have a Remote Administrator installed.
