D: Command Line Options This chapter contains the following topics: Command Line Options. Command Line Options If you want to use command line options, the following lists the ones Kurzweil 1000 supports. -in: filename Allows you to specify the input file’s name. It there are spaces in the name, enclose the entire name in quotation marks. If you don’t specify any other options, Kurzweil 1000 attempts to open the file. -out: filename Allows you to specify an output file’s name. Use this option after you’ve specified an input file. Use Kurzweil 1000 supported file extensions for output files. These extensions include: .bfm, .brf, .brl, .kes, .rtf, and .txt. Kurzweil 1000 opens the input file, saves it in the output file name and format. -d Use this option to delete the input file. If you specify an output file, Kurzweil 1000 converts the input file into the output file, then deletes the input file. -set: filename Allows you to specify the name of a settings file other than "default," which is the system default. Unlike the other file names that you specify in command lines, do not specify the complete path name or file extension for this option. -x Use this option if you want Kurzweil 1000 to exit automatically after performing the specified command line tasks.
