Kurzweil Educational Systems Online Seminars

Our seminars are hosted live over the web using special meeting technology called WebEx. Much like mini-trainings, these product tutorials are presented by live specialists and cover a wide array of topics, including:

Open to anyone interested in learning more about how Kurzweil 3000 helps people with learning disabilities or reading difficulties. Topics to be covered include:

Advanced Series - Kurzweil 3000 and High Speed Scanning
Review the benefits of centralized high-speed scanning processes in school districts and higher education. Topics to be covered include:
- The When, Where, Who, How, Why or scanning
- Demonstration of high-speed scanner (Canon DR-9080C or similar)
- Zone editing and preparing your scanned document
- File management and document dissemination
Intended audience: IT Specialists, School Administrators, AT Coordinators

Advanced Series - Kurzweil 3000 and Study Skills Strategies
This session explores the use of Kurzweil 3000 to facilitate successful study skills strategies. Topics to be covered include:
- Overview of reading and study skills strategies
- Pre-reading skills
- Creating vocabulary lists
- Highlighting (main idea, supporting details, vocabulary, keywords) and creating outlines
- Note taking, summarizing, and proofreading skills

Advanced Series - Kurzweil 3000 and Writing Composition
In the presentation, participants will review and learn about the academic benefits of using Kurzweil 3000 for the writing process. Topics to be covered include:
- Writing structure
- Writing mechanics
- Editing strategies using Kurzweil 3000 writing tools such as talking spell-check, word prediction, speak while typing, and more
Intended Audience: Educators, Special Education Administrators, AT Coordinators
