As a dyslexic High School Senior, it is hard to imagine school without the support of Kurzweil 3000. Kurzweil 3000 has been one of the most important keys to my success throughout high school. I can read interesting articles and actually understand them—it’s as if Kurzweil 3000 deciphers the words for me so I can focus on the content.

Before I started using Kurzweil I was missing out on all kinds of interesting text. For instance, instead of reading stories in the morning paper I would just look at the pictures and wouldn’t know what the story was really about. In school I would struggle through reading assignments and not really understand what I had just read. It was frustrating because if someone else read it to me I understood the text. With Kurzweil, I can access virtually any text on my own and understand it.

Kurzweil 3000, has allowed me to succeed in school. I use it to read and complete all of my handouts and tests. Kurzweil’s study tools—such as circles, highlighting, and text boxes—allow me to complete any worksheets for classes. With Kurzweil 3000, I’m also able to decrease and start to reverse the gap between my reading speed and the reading speed of my peers.

Thanks to Kurzweil 3000 I have been able to take challenging and interesting classes and get good grades. Now I’m applying to colleges. I’m sure it will remain an important tool for me in college and beyond.
