Changes in Version 4.6 – October 6, 2011
- Updated Read the Web Firefox add-on.
- Enabled "Alex" voice for reading.
Changes in Version 4.5 – June 8, 2011
- Updated 'Read the Web' FireFox extension to support FireFox 4.
- Allow a user to edit zones without having to re-recognize.
- Resolved Issues:
- Bubble Notes not opening with Choose One or Choose Multiple options.
- Bubble Notes not opening when a semi-colon is in title or text.
- Slowness when Word Prediction deals with long unknown words.
- Word Prediction not having as many suggestions as it should.
Changes in Version 4.5 - December 6, 2010
- Multiple bookmarks being created for single word is fixed, allowing users to create only one bookmark per word.
- Fixed issue with bookmarks changing order when renaming a bookmark on a page with multiple bookmarks, and when inserting a bookmark between two other bookmarks.
- Removed repeated beeping sound when moving the mouse while the Bookmarks drawer is opened and has focus, and on start up.
- Fixed bookmarks list not displaying in sort order.
Changes in Version 4.0.3 - March 8, 2010
- In image files, when using the Bookmark tool after clicking the space immediately following a word, multiple Bookmarks would appear for that same
word.
- Bubble Notes created in a new text document would either not read while the document was being read or would be overwritten with other Bubble Notes
content.
- Using the Eraser tool to remove highlighting on an open text file would cause Kurzweil 3000 to lock up on Mac OS 10.4.
- When opening any existing document, then using any function under Edit Find menu (as well as Command+F) Kurzweil 3000 would quit unexpectedly. This
occurred with Kurzweil 3000 v4.0 and v4.0.1 running on Snow Leopard.
- In Kurzweil 3000 v4.0.1, when a document had been saved under one user and then opened under a different user, and the second user used the Scan
Next Page function, the last page scanned by the original user would be inserted instead of the page currently on the scanner.
- When adding multiple Bookmarks to a page and another Bookmark was added in between two of the original bookmarks and the user then clicked each of
the bookmarks in the right-hand pane, starting at the first one, the bookmarks would re-order.
- A couple of beeping issues: when the Bookmarks drawer was open and had focus, and the mouse was moved; and upon startup when the file opened did not
have a thumbnail image.
- Word Prediction crashed when adding space at the end of a document.
- Broken Help > Kurzweil 3000 Help command.
- After using the Bookmark tool in a .kes document, you could not select or use another tool (e.g. the Selector tool) from the floating tools window
until the Bookmarks side panel was closed by clicking View -> Bookmarks.
- After using the Bookmarks tool to set some bookmarks in a document, clicking the Selector tool should switch the Bookmark tool to the Selector tool,
but Kurzweil 3000 wasn't doing so.
- Bookmarks added in a text document were not using the bookmarked word for the default bookmark name.
- Print, PDF and online documentation have not been updated to 4.0.1, 4.0.2, and 4.0.3.
Changes for 4.0.2.
- If the properties of the KESI file were edited in Windows Explorer, the Mac client would be unable to read the file. This was fixed.
Changes in Version 4.0.1
- Fixed issue with Leopard when in Administrator and taking licenses off Hasp key, but not getting transferred to Server.
- Fixed many issues with running with Mac OS X version 10.5 "Leopard" operating system, including scanning.
- Fixed Help files.

NOTICE - You will not have to re-register the product after upgrading.
If you are planning to run Kurzweil 3000 for Macintosh on Mac OS X 10.4, you must run it on version 10.4.1 in order for the scanning functions in the
Professional version to work correctly.
